krewedelusion and Trixie Minx present Splish Splash fundraiser benefiting New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Fund

NEW ORLEANS – November 30, 2015—krewedelusion and Trixie Minx, its Empress of the Insane & Captain of New Orleans for 2015, are pleased to announce Splish Splash, the annual krewedelusion fundraiser on December 3rd at One Eyed Jacks (615 Toulouse St.) from 7-10pm. Costumes encouraged!

Splish Splash is a mermaid-themed dance party featuring DJ Rusty Lazer along with performances by TAP DAT, Trixie Minx & the Krewe of Goddesses, the shimmering, go-go dancing Mermaids from the recent acclaimed production, Splish, and other special guests.

As Empress of the Insane & Captain of New Orleans, Trixie Minx has selected the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation (NOMAF) as her charity of choice. A portion of Splish Splash’s proceeds will go towards NOMAF programs which promote health and wellness to the city’s performers and culture bearers, developed to address the specific health challenges of performing in New Orleans’ cultural tourism industry, which attracts more than nine million yearly visitors to the city.

krewedelusion members are eligible for NOMAF programs and will be able to sign up with NOMAF in between fishy-kisses and mermaid shimmies! NOMAF representatives will be on-hand with applications and literature for anyone who wants to take charge of their health. Admission is $10 per person and includes admittance to One Eyed Jacks’ Thursday night 80’s dance party, Fast Times, which will follow. There will be a tantalizingly fishy kissing booth, a silent auction full of sought-after goodies to help you fulfill all of your delusional fantasies, and other aquatic surprises! Silent auction runs from 7-9:30pm.

About krewedelusion

A PARADE WITH A PURPOSE ON THE NIGHT OF DELUSION: By establishing a Foundation, appointing a Benevolent Ruler and embracing the forms and traditions of New Orleans’ Satirical parading Krewes, our mission is to save the Universe, beginning at its center – New Orleans. krewedelusion’s Captain is Ms. Oscar Diggs.

About the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic & Assistance Foundation

The New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation (NOMAF) evolved from the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC, established 1998) following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. NOMAF expands the services of the NOMC and its mission to keep New Orleans music ALIVE by sustaining New Orleans’ traditional music cultures. We do this by providing cost-efficient access to comprehensive wellness education and preventive health care, mental health, and social services. Regardless of the patient’s ability to pay, NOMAC is the medical home for more than 2,500 local musicians and tradition bearers.
